Just like John's crystal ball, this is just a fun prediction to generate conversation. These are all midseason trades that I am "predicting." Take this with a huge grain of salt(alamacchia):
1. CC Sabathia to the Braves in exchange for Jordan Schafer, Tommy Hanson, Brarndon Hicks and Gorkys Hernandez.
Why: The Braves will lose two starters this off-season, have plenty of outfield help,(Jones, Heyward, Francouer, Diaz), and will need pitching more than anything assuming they re-sign Tex, which I think the will. Next year a Sabathia, Hudson, Jurrjens, Campillo rotation wouldn't be bad. The Indians could use some hitting prospects, and Hanson isn't too shabby at all. Schafer could even come up very soon after the deal.
2. Jon Lackey to the Yankees for Austin Jackson, Melky Cabrera, Alan Horne & Kevin Whelan
Why: With Sabathia on the Braves, the Yanks will surely go after Lackey, who is also a true ace. Jackson is a very good prospect, as are Horne and Whelan, and Melky is a very solid outfield as well. With Guererro and Anderson presumably leaving, Cabrera and Jackson would become valuable. The Yanks would move Joba to the 'Pen.
3. Adam Dunn to the Dodgers for Andy LaRoche, Jon Meloan, James MacDonald & Andrew Lambo
Why: Meloan should become a bullpen staple for the Reds, MacDonald should replace Arroyo in the long run, LaRoche should soon come in handy to the Reds. Encarn
