Tim Beckham *Reportedly* about to sign
According to Robothal, Tim Beckham is about to sign, $6.15M signing bonus.
My question - What does this do to the landscape of over-slot signings. As we remember, last year almost no over-slot players were signed until the very last minute, in part because agents were playing chicken with each other, and in part nobody wanted to be the first team to incur the wrath of Bud. Do you think this means that some of the other non-Boras advised big names might sign soon enough to play most of this short season as well?

Wait, is 6.15 slot, or over slot?

I imagine it has to be over slot. Hicks did get 1.78 though so I don’t know how quick the scale jumps.

6.15
That’s the biggest upfront bonus in draft history, besting Wieters’ 6.0 last year.

Slot
Slot would have been around $4M, I believe, so it’s pretty far over slot.

Slot values
Does anyone know where to find a guide for the actual suggested slot values for the first few draft rounds?
