Desmond Jennings' 2008 debut
In his 2008 return from injury, Jennings led off the game with a homer off Jeremy Jeffress. Not a bad debut.
As for Jeffress, that's only baserunner he's allowed so far in three innings, with four strikeouts.

Vs. Joe Dickerson
Looking at the numbers and stuff I see two guys with very similar profiles. They are essentially the same age (Jennings is 3 weeks younger), and what I want to know is why there is so much talk about Desmond Jennings and next to none about Joseph Dickerson.
He went unranked by John, and has had a great season so far. He toughed it out last year in the Midwest league (a pitchers league correct?). So far he has put up a .394/.486/.881 line with 23 steals and 9 cs. Now I there isn’t much to go on, but how much does pedigree really separate these players? Dickerson doesn’t seem to have a lot of power potential, whereas it seems as if Jennings might.
Thoughts on this comparison? On Dickerson? On Jennings?
Accidentally not thedude925 anymore. I do hate this new name.

Holy Crap
I thought he was slugging .881. Anyways, my guess is that it’s because Jennings is one of those uber athletic players that has all kinds of potential and some semblence of baseball skills. I don’t know anything about Dickerson but my guess is that he lacks some of that athleticism…
