Cole Gillespie
Cole Gillespie is quietly having a very strong year in Double A. While Laporta and Gamel have had more fan fair this year... Gillespie is hitting .287/.372/.538 with 9 homers.
Gillespie is still very much blocked and is 23 years old. What does his future hold? Could the brewers maybe ship him someplace for some pitching? When should Gillespie get his shot and how far away is he?
Any news on Cole would be appreciated.

Every single member of the starting eight at Huntsville has Major League potential
It’s really amazing. Angel Salome has to hit nearly .400 to get noticed behind LaPorta and Gamel, and guys like Gillespie, Chris Errecart, and Mike Bell are totally overlooked.
Since Gamel will probably end up in a corner OF spot, even if Corey Hart moves to CF, Gillespie is still third on the food chain for one lineup spot, behind LaPorta and Gamel. As far as I’m concerned, they’re all trade bait for pitching.
He's extremely quick and good.
