I do not have any inside information
but it has been rumored that Miller is to be called up to replace Jorje Julio while Westbrook will take Carmona’s spot in the rotation which is currently being held by
Eddie Mujica. There are also rumors about Byrd to Atlanta and Laffey to Colorado which really don’t have much traction because Shapiro just does not trade pitching and most Tribe followers have a hard time believing that will happen with Carmona down for four weeks and Westbrook will just be coming off the DL. I happen to favor the Julio scenario but there is about to be movement on the 25 from other fronts as well and no one can really read Shapiro’s mind.
I cannot fathom the Indians trading Laffey, but I could see Byrd to Atlanta quite easily. I also hadn’t heard the Julio rumors with Miller, but I’ll be looking forward to that one…

Miller split a callous open on his pitching hand.
It doesn’t sound serious but another in the long line of “minor” injuries that have delayed his progress to the majors. Bloggers are wondering what Beckett did to alleviate the same problem with blisters and callous’.
Miller should just go to the bullpen
He is made of glass as a starter. He would be Cleveland’s closer of the future.
That's one point of view but
I didn’t see anybody making a reliever out of Beckett so I have to second trobone. Cleveland is in no hurry but I suspect he will be used in relief this year but is not a long term plan.
