David Price wins his first pro start
He pitched five innings, allowing 3 hits, no runs, and 1 walk (to the second batter he faced) while striking out 4. Clearwater hit 12 balls in play off Price; 9 were on the ground. The lefty threw 49 of 73 pitches for strikes. His pitch count might have been limited because of a 90-minute rain delay before the start of the game.
I haven't been able to find any video of his performance, but according to the news article his fastball sat in the mid-90s, hitting 98 on the pitch he used to induce a double play in the first. He benefited from that DP as well as a caught stealing -- he only faced 17 hitters in his 5 innings.

yay
glad to see him come back, i know the rays are conservative with pitchers but i think he may have to try the next level up. where do you guys see him settling in this year for most of the season? High A or Double A

If the Rays are still contending
in August, I wouldn’t be shocked to see him on the big league club. He’s ready now. Just needs to stay healthy and get his arm stretched out.
