MOD: Indians Draft

Well, the Indians have the 29th and with that pick I would really look at getting a value.  The team has a lot of low ceiling/high floor pitchers, and a few hitters who could be real impacts.  They are in no rush to graduate players in a hurry.  At 29 heres what I would be looking at.

1.  A prep pitcher
2.  Hitters early and often, realizing that they graduate into major leaguers at a much higher rate.  The fact that the Tribe isn't in a hurry to graduate players a prep hitter would make more sense.
3.  A safe college pitcher.

I guess that some targets that I would look at would be.

Brett DeVall-LHP-HS Florida
Kyle Lobstien-LHP-HS Arizona
Daniel Webb-RHP-HS Kentucky

Isaac Galloway-OF-HS California
Zach Collier-OF-HS California
Brett Lawrie-Util-HS British Columbia

Tim Murphy-LHP-UCLA
Tyson Ross-RHP-Cal
Ryan Perry-RHP-Arizona

Give me some good ol' divergent opinions people

Nice appraisal but I tend to believe that

the Tribe will go after a young bat, Casey Kelly, if available, or one of your OFs. Next choice would be a seasoned bat like Conor Gillaspie. Any bat that falls, prep or college, that falls because of signability is possible. I think the Indians are loaded with young arms already and feel they can add arms in the 10-20 picks as they have in the past.
