Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

MOD: Tampa Bay Rays

OK, Let's get started . . .

For now, I'm just going to ask for general suggestions (what positions will we go after) but tomorrow I will post a list of our picks and a list of players who I think would be good to fit the spots.

I’ll be in Brazil during the draft, so I won’t be much of a help this year.

Well

I am all for the best available player theory, but with that being said, I really have to cast my vote for Buster Posey. The only question I have is in his limited catching experience, but that will come in time.

hes drawing raves right now

even with only 2 years experience he is regarded as being one of the best catching gloves in the draft.

Fun fact:
Posey played all 9 positions in a game on Monday

BPA

Gotta go with the BPA. That being said, if you ask 5 people who they think the BPA is, you would get 5 different answers. Because of that, I think you have to go with the massive upside. Tim Beckham, to me, has the biggest upside of anyone in the draft (though Skipworth and Alvarez are very close). He plays a premium defensive position, and could develop into a very nice 5-tool guy.

BTW

Newer poll up on RaysBB, and Beckham is dominating, well over 50%...
