Cueto or Kershaw?
Johnny Cueto is dominating so far in his first big league start ( Perfect game, 8k through 5 innings today), and has me wondering if I should use my #1 waiver wire spot on him, or should I save it for Clayton Kershaw? I am in a keeper league, with three years remaining (including this year), and just wanted to get the boards thoughts.
Kershaw is obviously the sexier pick, but Cueto has put up great numbers everywhere (despite his size).
Thoughts?

I'll take
Kershaw.

kershaw
i think he's pretty much can't miss. i expect to see him this year and he plays in a much friendlier home park. no knock on cueto. he looks awesome.
I heard Tim Lincecum will win 1 Cy Young & 11 Tim Lincecums. Question is, how many Cole Hamels will he win?

Is this a league where either of these guys would be kept?
And if it's not a minors saavy league, you might be able to sneak Kershaw by them later. Cueto will be gone if you don't get him...

It's like asking who should I sleep with Alba or Biel...
You can't go wrong.
That said, I love Kershaw in Dodger Stadium.

Cueto
There are a number of reasons to take Cueto over Kershaw, even before his big start today.
1) He's already in the majors. Not only will Cueto give you value this year, there is a real possibility that Kershaw is not in the majors to start next year.
2) BB rate makes up for the difference in stuff.
3) Cueto is older, which is better in regards to the injury problem.
4) This is an extnesion of #1. If you take Cueto, you will be able to trade him for Kershaw and then some, because he's already in the Show.
Other pitchers I would take ahead of Kershaw include but are not limited to Manny Parra and Jonathan Sanchez. I know neither of them have the insane ceiling as Kershaw, but they are both high K pitchers in the Show, and that counts for a lot.
Cliffs notes: Take the bird in hand.

I don't think I'd take Sanchez over Kershaw. He's been injured, the Giants have been jerking him around not only between the minors and the majors but also between starting and the bullpen, and he hasn't really proven he can throw a full season. Taking into account Kershaw's ceiling, I just don't see how you can take Sanchez over him.

Dodger Stadium
This maybe obvious but Dodger Stadium isn't the pitcher's park it has been known to be, since they've added seating a few years ago and there is really less foul territory along the lines.

Cueto
He's already in MLB and has much better control. He's also closer to being out of the injury nexus for young pitchers.
