Daryl Thompson
So I was browsing over Reds prospect Daryl Thompson down in AA today. He's got an absurdly low ERA and had 11 k's in his last start (although he got the loss due to shoddy defense....of his 6 runs allowed this year, only 2 have been earned).
What's his future look like? Where does he fit in with the rotation the Cincy has right now? Can he keep this up? Is he worth paying attention to more closely?
Any input would be appreciated.

Thompson
Thompson was the guy folks in the organization thought had the highest ceiling (not that it was saying a whole lot) back in early 2006. He had a low-90s FB with a developing curve. He was recovering from off-season shoulder surgery when the Nats dealt him to the Reds in the Kearns/Lopez deal.
Thompson
Drafted out of high school in the DC area. I’ve heard Oil Can Boyd comps. He is about 6’1” and only 170 pounds. has suffered through some arm injuries over the past few seasons but was considered one of the nationals top pitching prospects a few years back.
If he’s healthy, I’m guessing he could make a solid #4 type guy
keep an eye on him
He has good stuff and real good control. He has his fastball up to 94/95 at times and he can control it. He is a possible 2/3 type guy if he continues on the right path.
