Cegarra
some google searching found me this from http://royaltower.blogspot.com/2008/02/trt-prospects-kids.html
Edward Cegarra, RHP
Birth: 2/27/1989
Ht: 5’ 11”, Wt: 175
Edward Cegarra was signed out of Venezuela in the summer of 2005. He spent the 2006 season in the Dominican Summer League, and just flat out dominated the competition down there. He was slated for the Appalachian League for the 2007 season (Thanks to Royals Corner for that bit), but an injury came up and he went straight to Burlington. Cegarra pitched well up until August, when he posted a 8.47 ERA for the month. With a fastball 90-92 and the makings of a solid slider, Cegarra could really make a move up the charts in 2008.
Cegarra
He’s been said to be the Royals best pitcher to come out of the Dominican in a while. That’s not exactly saying much considering the only other pitcher I can think of in the upper minors is Carlos Rosa (but he is really good now).
28/1 K/BB is sick.
Rowdy Hardy Fan Club member.

ah finally
Good to see Moustakas finally showing some power. I’m still thinking it’s too early to give up on him
Hey fish, leave those kids alone!

they are using a piggy back system, so he alternates between starting and the pen.

i would hope people arent giving up on Moustakas yet. The dude is 19. If you’re an adult, think back to when you were 19. That should calm any nerves about some of these kids playing professional baseball for the first time away from home.
lars anderson blows up
Lars Anderson: 4-4, 2 homers, 1 double. His ISO coming in was a worry, but now he’s comfortably back over .200.
eh
Lancaster—he needs to do more on the road before I get excited.

LaPorta
Guess I can get rid of the handgun, excess sleeping pills, and rusty razor blades now that I saw LaPorta’s name in the boxes last night.
You go, hero!

Stubbs
Interesting guy… Great numbers (348/425/543), but still strikes out a lot (27 in 92 AB). He’s also a (supposedly) great CF with terrific speed/baserunning instincts (13/13 SB). He has an eye-popping 32% LD rate (firstinning.com), so obviously he is centering the ball exceptionally well right now. That explains at least some of his ridiculous BABIP (.484).
He’s 23, so he should move pretty quickly, so at this rate, I think we’ll see him in AA pretty soon.
Who's Not...
....Michael Christopher Carp….1 for his last 16…..yikes!
