Revised Schedule
We've had some technical problems the last day, but the techs have worked hard to restore everything. We've had to push back the schedule though, which now looks like this:
Friday: Not a Rookie: Phil Hughes
Weekend: Crystal Ball: Jay Bruce
Monday: Prospect Profile: Max Scherzer
Open to suggestions after that.
There has been a lot of commentary lately about the state of the site and the new platform. I know the transition hasn't been easy for a lot of people, but the designers are continuing to work very hard at improving both functionality and appearance. We appreciate your patience, and I remain very optimistic about the long-term outlook of the blog and the Minor League Ball community.

Prospect Retro: Frank Thomas
I am not sure if you have done one on him before, but it would be interesting to see how he progressed through the minors.
Not a Rookie:
Justin Upton – is he this good this fast? its been a while since anything about him on the blog and its a very discuss-able first month
Baseball is a lot like life. The line drives are caught, the squibbers go for base hits. Its an unfair game.

Tommy Hanson
Interested in more information on Hanson. He finally gave up a run last night, but his numbers are ridiculous. How good is this kid?
Mike Carp
Rated a C prospect, but tearing up the Eastern League with the Binghamton Mets in the early going - Is this a real breakout, or just a flukish hot-streak?
22 years of age, through 21 games, batting .420, with 5 homeruns and 7 doubles.
.461 OBP, and SLG of .691
Brandon Jones
It’d be good to look at where he fits into the Braves plans at this point. He’s off to a slow start, but does he still project as part of their future, or has he been passed by Schafer (notwithstanding the suspension) and others?
Prospect Profile: Michael Burgess
Was there a real reason he fell out of the first round, or is this kid gonna be a stud?
Prospect Retro: Pedro Martinez
Who saw it coming?
Yeah. Not so much.
NL 5
Top five players who will be called up by July 1 that will post the best stats for 3 months in the National League. Keep up the good work!

Steve Pearce Prospect Profile
I would love to see what your take on Pearce is … he is a very intriguing prospect to me!
The next Coste or Cust
How about an article about players who have never made the majors, or only a cup of coffee, but might get a chance this year even though they are past their prime.
