swarzak
Swarzak has a big upside, assuming he stops the drug crap and stays on the straights.

Swarzak
Mainly because I am from Minnesota. But he has been lights out so far this year. If it weren’t for the log jam of pitchers in AAA Rochester (Mulvey, Humber and Perkins), Swarzak would probably be in AAA and one step closer to the Bigs. Its a shame because only one of the three are pitching well; Mulvey. I am looking forward to watching this kid pitch for theTwins by next year, maybe this year.

Rodriguez
He has big upside, too, and as far as we know, no drug history.

Agreed
Henry can bring it. Before he settled down, he used to fire 100 mph fastballs off the backstop at Papago Park and scare the crap out of hitters.

Interesting that his closest comp has been D. Cabrera.
Yet, he’s showing Peavy like command.

I don't think...
Swarzak will have a problem with drugs anymore. He realized that he messed up and if he screws up again that could be the end of him. I think the drugs is a none factor. Since his suspension last year he has pitched very very well and he should get a promotion soon, I hope.

Livan Hernandez
Soon as he turns into a pumpkin there’ll start seeing some holes open up in the system. Rotation should be very interesting in 2009.
Baker
Liriano
Bonser
Blackburn
Slowey
Logjammed: Mulvey, Swarzak, Perkins, Duensing, Mullins?
Gardenhire's major league career: Banjo hitting, futility infielder who couldn't lick it.
Rick Anderson's major league career: Strikethrower who never made it happen his sub 90's fastball.
Really gives a new definition to living vicariously through other people, don't it?

Easy I think
I will take the kid who can throw 100 who doesn’t have a drug problem. I can’t think that’s difficult.

Henry Rodriguez going to Midland
He will start Sunday vs. San Antonio. The Midland announcer says he’s going up to stay. He believe it’s not a short-term move.

It will be short term if he posts similar numbers
He will blaze through the system if he continues to show good control with his overpowering stuff. Where was Joba at this time last year?
