Hagadone

Should have done a quick search before posting because I found a report on Nick Hagadone without much trouble.

Although starting pitcher Nick Hagadone left the game with one out in the third inning with an arm injury, Greenville manager Kevin Boles believes the ailment is minor.

“He just had a little tightness (in his throwing arm, a little below the elbow),” said Boles. “That’s it. It was just precautionary at this point. It looks like he is going to be fine.”

Jordan

Walden: 5.2IP 5H 1ER 1BB 2K – would like to see more K’s but Walden has looked great in his first 3 starts so far this year.

17.2IP 13H 2ER 4BB 12K w/ a 3.11 GO/AO ratio – getting tons of ground outs early on.

Not as dominant

as I would like to see.

Only 3 starts and so it’s no big deal, but I wouldn’t call his start “great”. He’s letting more balls be put in play than I’d forecast.

Anyone seen him live? Is he working on pitches, or something special? The elevated GB rate and reduced K rate could be indicative of him simply working on new stuff.

Nick Evans - details?

How good can this kid be? Off to a nice start this season, excellent bb/k rate last season. Can anyone give some insight on him vs Carp and what type of player Evans can become? Thanks.

Deolis

Another solid start in High-A. 5 IP, 4 hits, no runs, 1 BB, 4 Ks.

On the season, in 3 starts (5 IP each) he has a 0.60 ERA (only 1 run allowed). Walked a few too many guys though, 7 in 15 innings (12 Ks), and only 10 hits allowed.

Fabio Castillo

3 IP, 7 Ks. The Rangers have him in relief to start the season to limit innings. He combined with starter Neftali Feliz for 14 Ks in 8 innings overall.

Whatever gets you through the night, 'salright, 'salright.
