Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

April 16, 2007 - One year later

April 16, 2007.

It's been one year since we lost our friend Brian Bluhm (VTTigers) and 31 of his peers and colleagues.

"We say that the hour of death cannot be forecast, but when we say this we imagine that hour as placed in an obscure and distant future. It never occurs to us that it has any connection with the day already begun or that death could arrive this same afternoon, this afternoon which is so certain and which has every hour filled in advance." -- Marcel Proust

Nice idea

Just another reminder (if one were needed) to live our lives to the fullest and be kind to each other every day.

RIP, VTTigers.

Go easy bro

I remember the day it happened somebody posted a link to his sister’s myspace. I believe she had put it up here so people could say thier condolences. When I clicked on it and saw a picture of Brian and his Sister … smiling… It really brought me to tears man. I felt like i was somewhere I shouldn’t be and looking at memories that weren’t mine and that I shouldn’t be looking at. Mostly though I felt a lot closer to a tragedy that it is hard to imagine for the people close to the ones killed.

I never knew you bro but we had a lot in common….RIP

Everybody: If you see anything that makes you worry about somebody doing something like this… SAY SOMETHING! Or do something.

April 16

It’s my birthday, and it’s disgusting that such an act of carnage took place on the same day. April is a pretty rough month, the 24th is the anniversary of the Armenian genocide…

RIP to all involved

I will be waiting...24601.
