Topic - Prospect Retro
How about a prospect retro on the former Big 3 for the A's?  You take on Mulder and Zito would be interesting given their meteoric rise through the system.  Tim Hudson is also an interesting case study as he was merely good for a while then really took off in 1998.

I was thinking (for once)
I was thinking that a review and projection for the enimigmatic Jonathan Sanchez would be a nice topic.

Prospect Smackdown
Clayton Kershaw vs. Jacob McGee two of the minors best lefthanders.

Andrew Miller
Drafted sixth overall in 2006, Andrew Miller also sounds like a nice choice.

Twins CF breakdown
You could do a break down of who you think will win the CF job for the Minnesota Twins.  We have a GREAT competition between prospects.  Who do you think is most ready to take the job speaking strictly this year.  The best overall game including D and O will win on this squad IMO.  I'm a new poster so aren't you required to take my suggestion?...:-)

Who you got?

Under the Radar Prospects
Maybe prospects John likes a lot that don't get any national press.

Trade Analysis
Hello, I'm new to the site. I've been reading for about a year now and thought I'd start an account.

I always thought it would be cool to get your analysis on prospect deals. I know there were alot of them this offseason, Erik Bedard, Miguel Tejada, Johan Santana, Nick Swisher, etc. I'd be interested in hearing how you thought teams made out. I'm an Orioles fan so I'd mostly like to hear how you think the O's rebuilding process is going. But I was thinking it'd be cool to hear what you think about other teams as well.

Haren, Swisher, Tejada, and Bedard trades especially.

Santana trade has already been analyzed by John.

I'll reiterate my suggestion from last time
Diamonds in the Rough. Players who John (and most others) ignored in 2000/2001 who are now very successful major league players. Essentially, this is the opposite of the Failed Prospect analysis.

Jeremy Reed
Does he count as a failed prospect yet?

by thejd44 on Mar 8, 2008 5:28 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Jason Kubel
He was an A- before tearing up his knees in the AFL.  I think some kind of NAR would be interesting to see what kind of (if any) bounce back you see happening after is second half last year.

What happened to the Justin Upton NAR?
On last weeks schedule he was supposed to get one Saturday, but that never happened.
