HUGE TRADE OFFER
Open.

10 team 5x5 h2h league
For those of you who voted on my Ichiro for Magglio question, I never did it and have now received an offer from the same owner. Here it is:
I get: Lackey and Pujols
I give: Verlander and Ichiro
Normally this would be a no brainer, because I have the extra speed to trade away, but Pujols' health concerns make me skeptical. Do I pull the trigger?
Roster:
C - Geovany Soto
1B - Paul Konerko
2B - Brian Roberts
3B - David Wright
SS - Carlos Guillen
OF - Matt Holliday
OF - Ichiro Suzuki
OF - Alex Rios
UT - Bobby Abreu
BN - Alex Gordon, Pat Burrell, Joey Votto, Stephen Drew
SP - CC Sabathia
SP - Justin Verlander
SP - Javier Vazquez
RP - Joe Nathan
RP - Bobby Jenks
P - Trevor Hoffman
P - Jonathan Broxton
P - Chad Billingsley
BN - Dustin McGowan, Jered Weaver, Rich Harden

Risk V Reward
Ichiro for Pujols is a potentially big upgrade for you bit it carries risk. Since you already have 130-140 SBs without Ichiro plus the BA effect is lessened by Pujols then the upgrade is pretty clearly huge for you assuming Pujols stays healthy.
Looking at your bench you have Gordon, Votto and Burrell you could plug in if Pujols is hurt.
Take the risk it could win you the league

I'm assuming it's a keeper league?

Just a gentle musing
I really hope this site stays within its core mission, which is minor league ball, whether for fantasy or real baseball. I'd hate to see enough buildup of non-minor league content to water down the minor league content, which is really the core specialty of this community. I see these sporadic posts and questions that have nothing whatsoever to do with the minor leagues and worry that it'll just lead to more and more, and eventually the people in here that are so darned knowledgeable about minors will take their conversation elsewhere. I actually kind of avoid adding to straight major-league posts just so I don't help grow the element in here.
Plus, I have to wonder if the poster wouldn't be better off asking at a place like the Fantasy Baseball Cafe, or at any number of other sites devoted to the major leagues. Wouldn't they get more and better responses at other sites?
I don't mean to be cynical or inconsiderate of the diary....I would just be disappointed if this became a more general, generic forum and some of the really astute minor league aficionados were driven away.

however i do like it that you post a lot of background about your team.
i'd say no for now for injury reasons.

Sure, why not?
I like Verlander better than Lackey this year, but think that the difference between Pujols and Ichiro is too big to pass up.
