Guess the Prospect
I was an outfielder picked in the first 5 rounds out of an east coast college. My progression through the minors was slow due to splitting time between baseball and playing in the NFL. I broke camp with my Major League team at the age of 25 before being sent back down mid-July after struggling. It wasn't until I was 28 that I claimed my first full time job with a 20/20 season. My major league and minor league numbers were incredibly similar and I played in parts of 15 major league seasons. I was a solid power/speed player with solid batting average but poor plate discipline .

Next one
I was an all-american first round pick out of a southern college. I was born in the U.S. but lived in Puerto Rico growing up. I played mostly 3rd base while in the minors and have strong baseball bloodlines. My initial time in the minors was only 2 and half season but I was named to Baseball America's top 100 list the year after being drafted. I never attained a starting job because of poor defensive ability and a rather large platoon split, I even played a year in Japan. Over 13 major league seasons I only accumulated 1800 at bats.

Here we go
I was drafted in the first 10 rounds out of a private junior college. After two years of solid play I broke out in the mid-west league with a 40 stolen base season. The next year I continue to exceed in AA before getting a cup of coffee in the majors, I never had another 50 minor league at bats after that. at 24 I broke camp with the major league club but injuries limited me to under 120 games, I still finished top 5 in ROY voting. in 17 years in the majors I accumulated 300 doubles and 300 steals.

Time for another
I was an international free agent signed by a National League Team at 16. Scouts loved me because of my 5 tool potential and my ability to play middle infield. In the minors I flashed good power and speed, but suffered from erratic batting average and high strikeouts. My parent club pushed me aggressively and I debuted in major at 20. I peaked at 22 when I was selected to the all-star team. After that I was a solid but unspectacular player who had to move to the outfield because of error proneness. My minor league career was marked with an array of skills and struggles against older competition, and my major league career was marked with solid power and early speed, but will always be tarnished my off the field issues.

This is a lot more fun then econometrics right now, but it might be a little suspicious that I am the only one on the computer in the class

Class is over
I was drafted out of high school in the 18th but chose not to sign and instead chose to go to a private university. 3 years later I was drafted much higher by a different team. I broke out in the Texas league at 22 with over 20 homeruns and over 25 doubles, but alarmingly struck out in 36% of my at bats. The next year I trimmed my strikeouts down to 25% and hit almost .350 in triple A. My major league career was long and marked with good power, plate discipline, and batting average, as well as leading my team to a World Series victory, although I was a miserable fielder. Some may even consider me the greatest player to ever play for my team.

Agreed
the Texas League sentence fits his 91 season to a T from what I can remember.
