Henry Rodriguez to start in Sacramento?

A's Director of Player personnel said this:

"Rodriquez likely will open the year at Midland, but Lieppman said, "Winter ball developed him quicker than we thought. The jury's still out on him. I could see him ending up in Sacramento.""

What do you guys think? I personally believe that Triple-A would be way too high for him but AA maybe.

i think
by "ending up in" sacramento he means by the end of the season, not right now.

all 21 yrs old will be in the AA rotation

So much for Stockton having Best Rotation in Minor
It is too bad as I could have seen a bunch of the guys early at San Jose. By 2nd half they may say Midland is the best w/ DLS, HRod, Anderson and Bailey.

Oh Henry!
I think his performance really tapered off there towards the end, but if the A's think he has something left?  Well, he's only 40....

Oh! That one? He's a pretty good prospect I suppose, and I definitely think of him as a breakout candidate.

I hear the Giants
might be interested in the original O-Henry. He would bring veteran leadership to the team, which we all know Sabean and McGowan just can't get enough of.

LOL I remember the hype back in 96
HOF game in Cooperstown, he hit a HR and people threw Oh Henry Bars on the field.

Yep, Henry to Sactown
The Athletics optioned LHP Jerry Blevins and RHP Henry Rodriguez to Triple-A Sacramento and assigned RHP Kirk Saarloos to their minor-league camp.
