Around SBN: Fighters React to Nick Diaz's Positive Drug Test

rate these B'ish prospects

i've got picks 3 and 4 in an upcoming draft.  most all of the stud guys are on rosters.  these are guys who weren't drafted in our june draft, but were added into the waiver system since the offseason.

i have a good idea of who i'm taking, but these guys are all sitting around, too.  i want to make sure i'm not missing out on someone here.  i've read and perused and they're all starting to seem like an average of the total of them...if that makes sense.  so help me out a little, please.

brett sinkbeil
chris coughlan
chris tillman
alan horne
willy aybar (tearing up venezuala league)
george kottaras
jaime garcia
jonathan niese
jordan walden
wes roemer
jesus montero

it's a 14 team league with 18 roster players and 25 prospects.  no limits on keeping who you drafted.  sp is always at a premium

thanks

Aybar's in jail back home...won't be eligible for visa for a while.  I'd forget him.

Aybar
He's coming off wrist surgery so power has to be a concern. He is out of options so he will have a very long look in camp. His versatility is very attractive because he can spell 3B and 2B, whoever ends up playing there.

For me
I think Walden's the best of the bunch with Horne and Tillman not far behind

Jaime Garcia
In terms of being good and near the majors.

Yankee guys
Jesus Montero is very very far away, unless your just looking to stash a guy i don't think there's much point in taking him. though he's bat is pretty polished for a guy so young, might make it as a 1B anyway even if he doesn't stay at C.

Alan Horne will most likely see some action this year. so you could take him I suppose.

Montero
He may be 18 but I really like young catchers with 80 power and a discerning eye. Yankee or otherwise.
I heard Tim Lincecum will win 1 Cy Young & 11 Tim Lincecums. Question is, how many Cole Hamels will he win?

The problem I've heard
...about Montero is that he isn't a catcher.  He's a 1B.  Not that a mashing 1B with a good eye is a bad thing to have, but if Montero can't stay behind the dish, he won't be as valuable.
