Who will be the best??

Amongst the following three young starters, who do you think will have the best career?

Manny Parra, Jair Jurrjens or Radhames Liz?

What do you think about their chance of injury?
Parra has already had some problems.

Would you differentiate between short range and long range success?

Thanks

Jurrjens
None of these three impress me but what i've seen out of Jurrjens is better than what i've seen/heard from Parra and Liz.

Parra
I have Parra on my team and I was happy to see that John said he is a sleeper to win ROY. Jurrjens seems overrated to me I feel that Det let him go for a reason. I dont know to much about LIz but looking at his stats, in AA he had 161 K in 137 IP and a 3.22 ERA. Looks good to me.

Over all Parra has the most experance and the best control(by the numbers). I am rooting for him but I really like Lizzy's K/9

Question
How is Jurrjens overrated?

If by "more experience"...
... you mean "older" then maybe.

I'm not sure how you can say Parra's got more experience. I mean, sure, he's 3 years older, but he's only got like 30 more professional innings than Jurrjens, basically all of them in AAA (AA is even), while Jurrjens has a little more MLB playing time. Seems like a push to me.

Not sure I get the control argument either. Parra's had higher walk rates than Jurrjens throughout his career.

If Parra's got any advantage, it's his strikeout percentages, which are clearly higher than Jurrjens'.

I think you've got to go with Jurrjens if for no other reason than he's 3 years younger than the other two guys and has numbers that are comparable if not superior.

Liz
i think he'll have a breakthough with control this season........the rest of his game is golden

floors and ceilings...
I think Jurrjens has the highest floor of the three, and probably the least chance to be injured or a reliever (essentially the same thing in my thinking).

Parra makes scouts and former pitchers (such as Steve Stone) drool.  The lefty mystique seems to bump him up in most people's views, and the stuff is undeniable.  Personally, I don't think he has much more upside than Jurrjens, and has more injury risk.

What is it about Baltimore and these enigmatic pitchers?  Who would have thought that they'd have gotten so little out of Denny Bautista, Daniel Cabrera, and ... dare I predict... Rahames Liz?  For some reason, I keep thinking this guy will be a good reliever when they finally give up on using him as a starter.  I'd rank him 3rd in this trio, though.
