Brandon Morrow.....
Sorry but I have paid very little attention this off-season, just heard Gammons on SC saying Morrow will be with Putz at the back of the M's bullpen. Is this temporary or does Seattle intend on keeping him in the bullpen? If they fall out does he get a chance to start?

Clement I'll give you...
I don't see how anyone could complain about Balentien's progress. He basically was moved up a level every season. How is that mismanaged? Maybe you can argue that with his high K rates he deserved to repeat a level once, I don't know. His worst year as a pro was 2006, but in the second half of that season his plate discipline improved drastically and they rewarded him with a promotion the next season.
And with F-Her, he basically completed two levels a season. Was he rushed? Other than an increased BB rate in AAA, there are no signs he was. His K-rate never dropped below 9.1 in any minor league season. His ERA never got over 3.30. His innings gradually increased (2003: 69 IP, 2004: 150IP, 2005: 172IP, 2006: 191IP, 2007: 190IP). You can say he was rushed, but he produced at every level he pitched. Why keep him at a level he is dominating?
He will not be in the back of the pen.
There are lots or reasons for Mariner fans
Hargrove was the one who pushed for Morrow to be used in the pen in 2007 for the Mariners, and all it has done is stunted his growth as a starter. People who say Morrow has no chance to be a starter are unfairly punishing someone who has had virtually no development time in the minors to work on secondary stuff.
When you want to talk about rushed prospects, there are lots of names to talk about. But Morrow's goes way beyond that.

Jesus
If Morrow is a good starter in 2009 is this all still the Ms fault?
Alou?
Meanwhile, I rather resent your telling me what I should post and not post. It smacks a bit of sour grapes.
