Red Sox up and done!
A much easier system to take care of.
visit sandbergzoo.blogspot.com to see the Sox's top 10 prospects
Now all I have to do is post this on overthemonster.com, just like I did at camdenchat.com
Please feel free to vote on how you think of my site, as 11 have done so far.
People should like this list better.
PS: don't worry, I won't announce that I did this with every team

Well.......
A for effort….F for final product. This is just a bunch of cut/paste work with a touch of rearrangement. Not quite plagarism….is it?? Last thing the web needs is more of the same. No originality whatsoever. Sorry…but stick to reading the blogs…not re-writing them.

How is it the same?
I never even looked at Johns Red Sox list.
Now that I did, it’s pretty different.

Almanzar
Played in the U.S. last year not the DSL. Started in the GCL then got promoted to Low-A Greenville. Might want to give that an edit…

hmm
I don’t really understand why you think this is worth posting here (or the O’s list, for that matter). So you’re writing top-10 lists, with bizarre statements like Michael Bowden’s “#1 potential” with absolutely nothing to substantiate those statements? And if you have any sources besides the analysis of people like John, Kevin Goldstein, BA, etc., or statistic lines, then you’re really not adding anything to a discussion. And as other posters have mentioned, you’re likely plagarizing a lot of the information you’re including.
Look, I have a blog as well, so I can understand the desire you have for people to read what you’re writing. But that doesn’t mean you should spam a bunch of boards when you clearly don’t have much of anything to add. Especially since you’re copying the grading system and many comments made by the author of this website, who happens to do this for a living.

Are you serious?
BTF didn’t copy anything. They POSTED JOHN’S LIST and provided a link to it.

Don't throw me under the bus
I CLEARLY said in my rules explanations that my ranking system was the same as John’s. I don’t know why you’re attacking me.

Especially when I said it was interesting to read your blog and haven’t even said anything bad about it.

I thought the subject heading
was to discuss the signings of Bard and Penny and how the Red Sox are now done shopping on the FA market…
by The Colonel on Dec 29, 2008 12:14 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
well on that note
I think the Penny signing was a great move, they got him quite cheap for what he could end up doing if he’s healthy. He may not be, but it’s low risk if that’s the case since it’s only one year. Bard I’m less crazy about but it’s still decent, since at least it gives a little insurance to the Varitek situation as he at least has experience starting in SD, and the knuckleball problem may be nonexistent if Wakefield retires due to the troublesome shoulder…

As a Sox fan
I like both. Bard will give them more O than Tek if he winds up starting. Sounds like they are still shopping for another C. Maybe bring back Tek on the cheap and let HIM catch Wake.
Penny for 5 is a good signing. He was throwing 97 upon his return but pitched poorly. If his health records look good, it’s a smart high-reward/low risk signing. Penny will be a FA and looking for one last big payday so hopefully the Sox can capitalize.

Only problem with that is
There’s a very good reason Tek didn’t catch Wakefield in past seasons: he’s not so good handling the knuckler.
