OT: Best Fantasy Baseball Game?

I am looking at getting back into fantasy baseball next season and was wondering what everyone thought the best fanstasy baseball sites/leagues are?  I would really like to find a continuing or dynasty league so that I can build a team and minor league system.  I am not to concerned if the site costs money or not, but would lieke to have something that is consistent with a good group of owners.  Any help would be great!

Not fantasy...

but we have an opening in our simulation league (maybe more than one opening too). It’s much more in depth than fantasy. Since I have started in this sim league in 2003 I can’t get myself to lower myself to fantasy anymore. Let me know if you are interested… or anyone else can email me as well.

I also have three openings in a 40 man database only Diamond Mind League. You get one new player to the database from your team every year.

Teams that are available:

Detroit

Florida with Miguel and Hanley

Texas with the rights to pick out of that system.

E-mail me at wibl.league@gmail.com if you are interested.

Dynasy League

Very similar to the old PTP dice game. Much better than Strato.

Edit

Dynasty League;) That’s at designdepot dot com.

Better than Strato?

I find that hard to believe. But then again, you tend to be more attached to things when you discover them at age 5 and never bother to look at anything else.

In all fairness though, strato leagues seem to be very cumbersome and hard to maintain.

Scoresheet Baseball

Scoresheet Baseball has been my 2nd wife for going on about 6yrs now. You can join leagues that have been going on for 20 yrs or join one that is just a yr old. it is about 80 bucks and worth every penny. Go check it out.

If you have your own league

CBS-Sportsline has an outstanding commissioner tool. Pretty much set the thing up any way you want. We were on the old TQ stats, looking back at that after using CBS-Sportsline I can’t believe we used that junk for so long.

Agreed

My league switched from yahoo to CBS this year and I never want to go back. Great livescoring, matchup pages, etc. Most minor leaguers are in the system. The only downside is that it’s not convenient to browse FA or add/drop people.

Scoresheet Baseball

Scoresheet Baseball has been the best fantasy baseball game I’ve seen. It is a little on the expensive side as mentioned above but it is a very good game. Check it out at,

www.scoresheet.com

The site can explain the game better than I can.

CBS is good but very limited. Another quality game is Benchwarmer Baseball at www.benchwarmerbaseball.net

Basically, stay away from Yahoo and ESPN. Each of the three sites mentioned are very good depending upon the type of game you are looking for.

Board

Can’t see the board unless you’ve got a login.

Depends on what you're looking for

I’m biased towards Strat-O-Matic, as I’m commissioner of a 24 team league, and have been playing it for 25 years now.

My league has a salary/contract system, fully playable minor leagues, free agent auction engine that I built, etc.

So the game engine itself can support pretty much any type of league you want, and unlike most of the other games mentioned, the game engine itself is entirely open and transparent.
