Good question
It seems like he is the definition of a replacement level player
I remember Gil
He was pretty much a bench player even in the minors. I remember him in the Mets system years ago. Played all around the infield, good defense. Coaches liked him, he was apparently a guy who would help out other teamates some.
I imagine they would use him only as a defensive replacement. He’s pretty much a reliable out in both halfs of an inning.
Mark Kiger is happy that he played 3 games in the regular season
His “accomplishment” is safe.

Velazquez
He was in the Twins system for a few years too, between AA and a little bit at AAA. It’s good to see him get called up, but yeah, it’s obviously a case where they hope he doesn’t have to play.
