Diehard
Not much of a diehard if you only go to 5 games over 6 years.

by colin398 on Jan 13, 2008 4:36 PM EST reply actions

Well
  1. "Diehard" doesn't mean 'up to the ears in money for tickets'. my grandfather is a Sox diehard and doesn't go to more than one or two games a year. He never misses a game on TV or radio though.
  2. He may only be asking for money back on games featuring players specifically named in the Mitchell report.
This is me being polite.

Hope he wins...
I like the idea that he is doing something about the steroids problem. He could sit around and complain about it and not do anything, but that won't cause any changes in the game. He is making himself heard. Maybe if more fans did something similar it would cause baseball to make more changes to improve the game.

And colin398, I didn't know there was a minimum amount of games you had to attend to be considered a diehard fan of a team. I have never attended a Mariners game... guess I am not a real fan. What's the minimum so I can make sure I reach that plateau and can once again call myself a "diehard".

He should be suing...
due to the price of the tickets because the Yanks can't buy a World Series

Oh Great
Yet another frivolous lawsuit to bog down our already overloaded judicial system.  I guess we'll have to kill all the paralegals too.  Mahalo

Curious
What does 'Mahalo' mean?

by shakezula on Jan 13, 2008 6:29 PM EST up reply actions

Mahalo
Is Hawaiian for "Thank You".  And no, I'm not, nor have I ever been to Hawaii.  Mahalo

Yeah right
Like Yankee fans are the ones who should be suing for the Yanks being juiced.

Jason Giambi had 2 HRs in Game 7 of the 2003 ALCS. The year he admitted to injecting himself with steroids. If he doesnt hit those Petey doesnt need to stay in too long... and Grady doesnt keep him in too long... and Aaron Boone doesnt get a shot to launch a weak knuckleball into the night.

I dont want to sue as much as punch him in the face, but I could settle for a lawsuit.

Why?
Why'd you have to use the G word?
Same guy, new name.

G Word?
"get"?

G
I think it's possible you used a silent "G" in there.  ^_^

by Lunkwill Fook on Jan 14, 2008 9:44 AM EST up reply actions

Yup
Whenever I hear the word "get" I have flashbacks to 2003. It's inexplicable really.
Same guy, new name.
