Talk About Franklin Morales

He's pitching a gem against the Dodgers and (I believe) he has just set the Rockies team record for consecutive scoreless innings.  And, he's still a prospect.  Where does he rank for you on a top 100?

top 40
When people are now touting him as a "top 40" guy, do they realize that BA had him as a "top 30" (30) guy BEFORE the year?

BA
BA loves guys like this; i can't stand guys like this. i don't think morales would have cracked my top 75 before the year.

by the way, regardless of where you ranked him before this year, would you say his stock has gone up or down in 2007? i see a guy who still walks a batter every other inning, and his K rate has taken a step back from where it was. and he's still a big-time injury risk. i'll pass.

nasty
only thing im concerned about is the delivery.

Really
For some reason it doesn't look that violent to me - prob cause I own him...

degree of violence
its not severely violent but the herky-jerkiness of it just concerns me. Its not smooth and free flowing like you would like.

that said, its a minor quibble considering how good his stuff is.

not really
Liriano's put a lot more strain on the elbow with that snapping motion towards home plate. Morales' might be a bit unorthodox but I don't see any reason to believe it would cause him arm problems down the road.

Love Him
He's definitely a top 40 guy.  I'm interested in if he increases his K rate and lowers his WHIP next year.

As for his delivery, eh, all lefties look strange to me.

Breaking Ball
His Curveball is still a little too loopy for my taste, he needs to make it tighter. He´s using his Changeup more, I like that.

Top-of-the-rotation guy, no question.
