Anyone seen these 3b studs?

I'm particularly interested in Kellen Kulbacki (Padres), Brandon Waring (Cincinnati), Jared Goedert (Indians) and Clayton Conner (Yankees).  Has anyone ever seen any of the players or perhaps heard something interesting?  I think Kulbacki will be a stud.  Check out his 2006 James Madison season -->

.464/.568/.943 with an OPS of 1.511!?!

Waring has put up good numbers as well but I'm worried about his strikeouts (much too Dunn-like.)  If he gets some discipline then perhaps he'll be alright.  Don't know much of anything about Goedert or Conner.

I believe
Kulbacki is a RF and Goedert is a 2B.

Connor
Clayton Connor is Diamondbacks property. I havent seen him live ..but I understand the Dbacks like him alot..he recently moved up a level.Hopefully he wont take the path of last years guy Andrew Fie.

Kulbacki
I've seen Kulbacki play a couple of times in Eugene.  bigboy is right, Kulbacki does play outfield.  What I remember about him is that he didn't seem to control the strike zone particularly well, but did drive the ball when he made contact.

If Brandon Waring
can be Adam Dunn like, then we have a great prospect on our hands. That said, I don't think he will be Dunn like. He has a hole in his swing that has been questioned since before the draft. At this point, Waring is not a top 15 prospect in the Reds system for me. If he wants to go Ryan Howard on guys, then that will be awesome, but he hasn't shown the patience at the plate so far that I would have liked to see from him. Basically, the kid has all the power in the world, but he tries to use it way too much (thats from his mouth, not mine, although I agrre with it by looking at the numbers). He has a long way to go, but at this point he needs lots of work.

Talk about being on Fire!
Waring had ANOTHER 2 HR game last night (to go along with 2 K's in 4 AB's.)  That's now 3 out of the last 4 games where he's gone deep not once but twice!!  That is impressive regardless of his flaws in his approach/swing.
I'm no commie, but the Reds shall be the best again!

Had the chance
to see him play in the AZL last year, he's a big lefty with good power projectibles.  He looks pretty solid.

Info. on Goedert!
Hello RedHopeful,

As bigboy1234 mentioned, Goedert is now playing at 2B, though a move back to 3B sometime in the future wouldn't be out of the question, but with the presence of Wes Hodges and Beau Mills (who's still playing at 3B in the Indians' system to this point,) Goedert will likely stay at 2B for as long as he can handle the position.

From what I've been hearing, Goedert seems to be playing 2B pretty well.  If he can continue to progress at a solid level like he did at Low-A (.364/.475/.715) AND remain at 2B, the Indians will have a blue-chip prospect on their hands.

He had a shoulder injury that kept him out of action for around 6 weeks or so shortly after reaching High-A (after playing around 4-6 High-A games if I remember correctly.)  He hadn't fully adapted to High-A as a result, and it took him a little while to adjust to the level after he came back from the injury, but seems to be getting adjusted to High-A, as he's hitting .264/.378/.439 in 114 High-A ABs, including hitting .313, 10-32, over his last 10 Gs, with 5 R, 3 2B, 3 HR, 8 RBIs, and a 7 BB/6 K ratio.

It seems with the Indians' current 3B depth and the play of Goedert at 2B (just 4 Es and a number of DPs turned if I remember correctly,) I think Goedert will remain at 2B for the time being.

Hopefully, this is helpful.  :-)

Take care and have a great day!
