Canadian League Baseball Fantasy Game

The Situation:

In a rage of patriotic stupidity, Bud Selig contracts the Toronto Blue Jays and moves the team to the states. As planned, The Ottawa Lynx move to Allentown, and unplanned, but necessary for this game, the Vancouver Canadians move south as well. Outraged, a grassroots movement known as Friends of Baseball In Canada, along with many conglomerate Canadian companies have started a 10 team league known as the Canadian League Baseball. It is an independant league. There is 5 teams in the East (Halifax, Toronto, Ottawa, Winnipeg, and Montreal)and 5 teams in the West (Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon, and Regina).

The Game:

There will be a 25-man draft to fill your roster. However, there is a bank of players, the 2006 Minor League Free Agent List (http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/minors/news/262709.html)

The real challenge is filtering the talent on the list. At the end of the draft, there will be votes to determine the winner.

My team is the Edmonton Eh's.

Anyone Interested?

Sounds cool!
Can we get Canadian born major leaguers to join the league? I'm from Vancouver so I'd like the Vancouver club if possible?

Sure
If you can find a list of them that'd be great. It'll be a little more unrealistic, but what the hell, its a fantasy game.

I just came back from Vancouver on vacation. I went to Ucluelet on Vancouver Island, spent a day in the city, also Banff and Jasper, Alberta. The Canadians weren't in town though, but I would've loved to see a game at the Nat.

Here we go
is the best list I can come up with for Canadians, current ones anyways :) Long live the greatest...Fergie Jenkins and Larry Walker!

Eric Bedard, Jason Bay, Jeff Francis, Rich Harden, Adam Loewen, Russel Martin!, Justin Morneau! Matt Stairs, Mark Teahen...

Rheal Cormier, Jesse Crain, Ryan Dempster, Eric Gagne, Shawn Hill, Pete Orr, Chris Rietsma, Ryan Bruan! (the pitcher, sorry)...

Aaron Guiel (AAA?), George Kotteras (AAA), Pete LaForest, Adam Stern (AAA) Scotty Thorman, kid sensation Joey Votto (AAA), M's #1 pick Phillippe Aumont.

I'm sure there are many more in the minors I don't know of but, thats a pretty good list of ballplayers. maybe too good eh?

Pretty Good From Memory.........
The only one I can add is O's OF Sebastian Boucher.

The games are technically a series of votes.

Winnipeg
Curious about this one, is Winnipeg considered eastern Canada?  I am not criticizing fischbowl's alignment just wondering how Canadians divide up there country, thanks.

Yes And No
Manitoba is kind of middle country.

Since the east contains Ontario, Quebec, and smaller provinces with no big cities other than Halifax.
