Billy Butler a full time DH

With the annual injury to Mike Sweeney (shocking to all baseball fans), KC looks content to have Billy Butler be their full time DH.  Is this a good move or should he be playing in Omaha working on the defense so that he'll become a more complete player?  Or is KC smart to have his bat in the lineup and work on the defense some other time?

Butler
No matter what, his best asset is his bat. As long as there are people available to play at the other positions, then KC should take full advantage of the DH. This is no different than wondering if the Red Sox should take full advantage of Ortiz's skills by teaching him how to field.

Seems to me...
that if the Royal's brass doesn't have enough confidence in him learning a position in the majors that chances are he isn't going to be learning one anytime or anywhere.  So, if his bat is ready (which it is) theres no point in him being in Omaha anymore.

DH
what's the point of not having him DH anyway?  with sweeney out there really isn't another legit option at DH.  sure it would be nice if he could play a position in fantasy land, but as long as his bat is in the lineup it doesn't really matter where he plays.  especially when they don't have a stud DH to push him into the field.

They don't need him in the field
Possible 08 fielders:

1B - Shealey

LF - Lubanski

RF- Teahan

He's not going to beat any of them out and he's not playing any other position than one of the 3 here.

DH is just fine.....
