Quentin Demoted

The D-Backs optioned Carlos Quentin to Tucson today. What does everyone think of the move? I'm not sure that the D-Backs shouldn't let him figure it out in the majors (similar to Alex Gordon recently putting it together), but since they're still in the thick of the NL West, this looks like a good move for the team.

yep good move
they are playing for something, the royals are playing for 4th place in the division (which is something for them, woohoo!!). they royals could afford to keep alex in the bigs.

Also
Quentin isn't on Gordon's level.  Gordon was just too good to not figure it out eventually, but a guy like Quentin might not be able to make the necessary adjustments at the big league level.

Injured
If he was actually playing hurt, this doesn't make a whole lot of sense, unless they want to minor league DL him and save a couple thousand dollars.
Rios is the next Juan Gonzales, thats right, I said it.

not even sure you can do that
Kuo was sent down, called up, put on the DL just a couple days ago.

not supposed to
the Jays did it to League even though it was a rotator cuff tear they wanted him to rehab through rest. Ricciardi is a *$(%. I love how they put up big pitch counts on Burnett, then do it again the first game back from injury, then call him a wuss for being hurt again and trash talking him.

The same Ricciardi that sends down League for rotator cuff tear. The same that runs O.Hudson out of town because years ago he called him a pimp daddy. Etc.

Ricciardi
is an idiot. I thought this knowledge is universal...heck, I'd rather have Paul DePodesta

me too
but he's proving to be more of an ass than an idiot.
