Thoughts on Jonathan Sanchez?

I was hoping some Giants fans or others in the community could share with me their thoughts on Jonathan Sanchez. Is he staying in pen or will he go back to rotation in the future? Best case scenario comparisons? Has his name been included in any trade rumors? Any info is appreciated. I searched McCovey Chronicles blog, but did not see much current information. Thanks for the help.

Sanchez
From what I've read, he's being groomed for the rotation next year.  I think he's going to top out as a 3/4 starter, but his stuff is very good in the pen.  He's got a nice arm and a solid repetiorre, but his stuff is much better out of the pen then in the rotation thus far.

He hasn't been mentioned in trade rumors that I can think of or remember.  Hennessey has a hold on the CL job and should be given a longer look with the Giants giving him infrequent appearances with save situations.  Sanchez has been serving as a strong setup man.

Reliever
I think he's going to stay in the pen.  It was telling that when Sanchez came off the DL, he was brought back to SF to come out of the bullpen while Pat Misch was sent to Fresno to start.

Bullpen
I agree that Sanchez won't be moved into the Giants' rotation next year.

Wouldn't
having three lefties in Lowry Sanchez and Zito in the rotation give sort of a redunant look?

Pewer Lefty
Well Sanchez is a power lefty and not much like Zito or Lowry.  Still, His stuff,  motion, and durabiilty concerns all point toward the bullpen.
