What do people think of DiceK now?
He kinda had a rough beginning, but just saw a post that summarized his June, and wondered what people thought of him after June. Which month represents the long term DiceK?
Daisuke Matsuzaka, SP BOS
News: RHP Daisuke Matsuzaka will finish June with just two wins, but the month was easily his most impressive. Matsuzaka forged a 2-2 record that belied his 1.59 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 34 innings. Opponents hit just .179 against the 26-year-old rookie in June.
Analysis: Matsuzaka probably should have five wins in June because he has been pitching so well, but he wasn't getting great run support. Despite a lack of victories recently, Dice-K remains a must-start Fantasy pitcher in all leagues at this time. His next scheduled start is for Tuesday against the Devil Rays. He is also on track to be a two-start pitcher during Fantasy Week 14 (July 2-8).

Daisuke
I really do thnk that he is one of the best pitchers I've ever seen. A mix of David Cone and Pedro Martinez perhaps.
As far as which statline represents him best, I'm not sure any of those are the best representation, but overall, I expect him to keep up the high K rate while posting an Elite ERA and above average Whip.

er...
for myself, i agree he's between April and June. I see him pitch pretty regularly and the ERA seemed a bit flukily high at the start of the season -- his strand rate was inordinately low. That hid how good he's been. Basically his peripherals have stayed more or less steady throughout, except he had two (or was it three?) shaky starts in May, and in June he's been pitching mostly against NL teams and away from Fenway, so that's exaggerated how good he's been.

He'll be an ace...
He's got great periphs for a guy who makes his home in the AL East's best hitter park. Once he gets over that one inning fuck up, he'll be fine.
