Fantasy Dynasty Leagues...

Currently, I'm in standard Yahoo! leagues.  I would like to use a service with good minor league keeper options.

Also, I'd like to try something that takes salaries into account.

Auctions don't sound that appealing to me.

What services do you guys use? Are they expensive?

Thanks in advance.

For me,
It's Yahoo and CBS Sportsline.

There are several around, but I think it's what you become accustomed to using.  Frankly, I don't like how Yahoo started providing the extra services, like to who is playing what day 30 minutes before the game, etc.

Another problem with Yahoo is that you never know if the people in your league are going to remain committed to the league.

Yahoo for sure...
also I would ignore this guy's comment above... I think yahoo's new features made it a lot better.

but...
Yahoo doesn't have a developed minor league keeper system...that's what I'm looking for.

...and what exactly does it do....
...to "a guy like you," having publically available and obviously useful information presented to you in a more accessible format?

Are you complaining because this got rid of your natural advantage, since you were willing to spend so much extra time each day, racing through pre-game box scores to find out who you needed to sit that day? Because I'm sure that's what fantasy baseball's REALLY about: the guy who's willing to devote the most of his time to the most trivial matters.....

I've won vitually all the money leagues...
I've played in since college.  This just makes information easliy accessible even to those without knowledge as to where to find them.  As for spending time reading about baseball, I enjoy it.  I find it relaxing.  Apparently you do too...

"easy access"
before, "insiders" like yourself had to click on the time listed next to the player listed next to the box score roughly an hour before the game. now, when that information becomes available, you don't have to click on the box score. a time-saver, sure. but it hardly represents the pinnacle of the information age; the information was right in the same place before.

anyway, call me crazy, but i still would think you'd want to win a fantasy league mostly because you were a smarter talent evaluator, and, perhaps, a savvier GM, than your league-mates, not because you had a schedule that permitted (or a drive that allowed) spending more time rearranging your roster. this isn't an insult towards those who care enough to make those daily changes, just a question about whether that's the point of winning the league.

what you have to do
is use two services at once.  You have to use a site like yahoo, cbs or espn for stat keeping and trade offers and everything that they provide.  The way you do minor league activity is by using one of the free message board sites.  I know on proboards.com they offer free message boards.  On the free message board you can keep track of minore league rosters and salaries.  It can be tough to organize a league like this but its the only way i know of.

welp
...in the dynasty league I'm in, we use CBS for everything (draft, minors, etc), and it works great. They have a ton of MiLB players in the database, and you can create custom player cards if the player you want isn't in the database. However, idk if you can utilize any sort of salary system with CBS

Auction
The only way to go for me is a live auction. Nothing like bidding $42 on AROD and looking the other guy in the eye. Just like poker. Are you bluffing or will you go $44. Of course that is live. I don't do online stuff but we use Sportsline now that TQ Stats messed up their site. We use a 5 man minor league draft after the auction and all the names are in their database.
