John Danks

What do you guys think of his performace thus far?  Has he met, exceeded, or fell below your expectations.  He's only 22, and his 'K' rate seems to be pretty good.  I haven't had the opportunity to watch him this year, what do people like/dislike about him.  Does he fit the mold of a potential 'Ace' of the White Sox staff, or, do you guys see him more as #2-#3 starter moving forward.

Curious as to your thoughts.

poll choices
don't make any more sense here than they did with Kazmir.
and boom goes the dynamite.

i tried making
the poll, so that people could choose more than one option, but for some reason it's only allowing one choice.

Danks
I've always been a huge John Danks fan, I feel if he can limit the long ball, he has a good shot at top of the rotation stuff. Low 90's FB, big hook and a change-up that it slowly becoming his best "out" pitch, no pun intended. He's a good guy with great stuff, JD possible ROY candidate if he can improve his stats a little.

Kudos to Kenny
As a Cubs fan, I'm jealous of a GM that's as proactive as Kenny Williams.  Brandon McCarthy for Danks and Massert?  WOW.

Danks
The thing that has impressed me the most is how much poise he has on the mound.  When he gets in a tough jam he rarely implodes and instead works his way out of it.  He's been league average so far and his track record suggests that he improves as he gets to know each level he's been at.

Danks
Watched him pitch for the first time last week against the Jays.

For you "older" guys out there, he really reminded me of Jim Kaat.  Not sure if he'll have that good of a career, but his delivery/stuff seems very similar to me.

Has exceded my expectations
I think he has pitched very well and looks like he will be just fine.  That said, i am not sold that he has top of the rotation stuff though, too many baserunners.
