Kyle Kendrick

Hello all. I recently read that Kyle Kendrick will get a chance to replace Freddy Garcia (DL) in the Phillies rotation. Does anybody know anything about this kid?

All I know is that he has been in AA, but only went 4-7 (with a 3.21 ERA). Baseball America ranked him as the #15 prospect in the Phil's system...

Could he stay up, or is it one and done for Kendrick?

As if we needed yet more proof that moving Myers to the bullpen was idiotic....

Kendrick's only up because the Phils are pinched with J.A. Happ on the minor league DL. My bet is that he won't stick (he's not really ready), and they'll patch the rotation with some combo of Condrey, Madson, and/or Jose Mesa (yeah, I know), until they get to the trade deadline. If they're in it and Pat decides not to stand on the sidelines, there are some decent options out there. Otherwise, by then, they should have a better sense of whether Garcia can come back.
