Around SBN: How A Letter From Tom Coughlin Helped One Fan's Recovery

Tiny Tim

I'm rooting for Lincecum to do well...

Star-divide

...which is pretty amazing considering how much I dislike everything about the Giants.

However, I cannot let his debut pass without commenting on his size. He looks like an action figure out there on the mound. To gank a line from Steven Wright, this guy could pose for trophies.

If Clemens and Smoltz face off in a deciding Game 7, we could witness the perfect storm of nonsensical comments from Bravesin07 and NYYLover1000 - gatling

rooting for lincecum despite hating the giants
yeah.  i'm a dodger fan, is the thing about all this.

i might as well admit it.  i'm wearing a customized lincecum jersey right now.  and it's a dodgers jersey.  trying to rehabilitate his image, you know.  i was wearing it as i biked off the beach yesterday and a guy in a giants hat saw the front and said "Boo!" as he went by.  i should have showed him the back and blown his mind but i didn't think quite fast enough.  it would have been perfect and i hate myself for this.  next time i'll be ready.

im a dodger fan and i love lincecum and its so hard to root for him.

a couple of observations

-when did he add a 2 seam fastball? hes been throwing that a ton tonight.

-his curveball hasnt been as advertised. it doesnt have that sharp 12-6 break like it did when i saw him in college.

curveball
He's only thrown maybe 5 curves all night... I have no idea why since he used it a ton in the minors.

Maybe the longball in the 1st made him lose trust in the pitch.

Rays in '08....

maybe
it might be he isnt feeling his curveball today. It doesnt have that snap to it. His fastball has awesome movement though.
