MOD II White Sox

Drafting at #25, it will be a bit difficult to know who is available.  Therefore, how about we just decide which way to go with the pick - HS, college, bat, arm, best available, etc?

I think the Sox have gone heavy with the arms the past few years, so I ways leaning MI or "impact bat" at 25. Also, after voting, let me know who you think would fit the bill at 25 or later, thanks.

Sox need an hitter
The Sox system has some good looking pitchers, but lack a true impact bat, although Fields is sort of that.  Sweeney does not have enough strength to be counted on, Anderson is done with the White Sox, Aaron Cunningham is a ways away and the rest of the Sox hitters are either too old for their levels to be considered legitimate prospects or just plain stink.  The Sox have really only produced two all-star hitters the past decade: Carlos Lee and Magglio Ordondez, other than that nada.  The Sox system needs a premium hitter prospect and it really doesn't matter the position.

Thanks for the comment.  Would you be interested in Kyle Russell?

We already tried with Borchard on power
Russell has that long-upper cut swing that I just don't think translates well into the majors.  The Sox need just plane good hitters who hit for high average or have great patience at the plate.  Basically all of our major leaguers are poor discpline hitters who have power strokes.  We need just a good average hitter, not necessarily a power hitter.

something up the middle
The system is so thin in regards to SS/2b & Catcher.  Getz is the best middle infielder and he doesn't have much upside.  I wouldn't reach for an infielder, but if a good one is available I'd take it.
