Final Pre-Draft Baltimore MOD

We're going to have to wait and see what the Cubs and (especially) the Pirates do in front of us, but I'm still leaning toward a hitter at #5.

Previous MODs are at

Any and all last-second thoughts will be appreciated.

draft planning
I think there has been a top 4 consensus brewing and so if any of them drop to 5 I'd grab them... otherwise I'd go with Moustakas...

At the later rounds I'd gobble up HS pitchers who have the tools and have also been putting up numbers... Only hitting I'd go for is those who we hypothetically think could be bought out of their college commitments (which of course we don't have real authority on this site to do =)...

HS pitchers
There might not be that many left that meet your criteria by the time we get to pick #129...

Re:
More folks seem to be projecting Detweiler to the O's than anyone else.  I still wish they'd take Wieters, if available, instead of the usual 1st round pitcher.

I wonder how much the fact that Moustakas is Greek will affect their decision.  Petey may mandate that they take him.  I think that would be OK w me, too.  Moskos sounds like a Greek name, also.  At least Detweiler and Moskos are College guys.

Angelos
You know you are talking about the O's when you are trying to figure out which prospect is the "most greek"...
