With the graduation of guys like LaRoche, Braun, & Gordon as well as the ups and downs of Kouzmanoff, Marte, Edwin, Fields, Wood, Casto, & Guzman. I was wondering who were the Top 3B prospects without major league experience.
First, is obviously Longoria, then Rowell, and possibly Stewart but Chase Headley has risen to be included as a Top 3B prospect. He's batting .337/.424/.583 with 8 HR & 32 RBI's in 48 games. The most common MLB comparison I saw when he was drafted was Bill Mueller but he's already shown more power numbers than Mueller ever did in the minors. Is he a legit MLB 3rd baseman? A Top 5 3B prospect? Will he push Kouzmanoff? Trade bait?
