Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Mistake?

I recently traded Tim Lincecum in my NL-Only Keeper league for Chase Utley because I needed the offense. Was this a major mistake? I'm kinda panicking right now, thinking I've erred greatly.

To keep in mind, I have a chance to retain Utley for the 2008 season as well. All input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Utley
Utley is by far the best 2B so you're going to have to pay for that.  Also, given that this is an NL-only league, the gap between him and #2 isn't close at all.  Starting pitching is much deeper (plus pitchers are greater injury risks), so I think this is a good move.

Ditto
A steal I think getting Utley for Linecrum as great a prospect as he is.

Just like a similar deal I made...
In a mixed keeper league 3 weeks ago I traded Phil Hughes and Lastings Milledge for Albert Pujols.  There's no better feeling than selling high and buying low.

If you're team is in contention this year, a move like that is worth it.  Better to go for broke and win than never make a move and never win.

Wow
How much acid did that guy have to do to want to make a deal like that?
