any word on why Betances hasnt been pitching? any one know when he will pitch? i cannot seem to find any information on him, i know he has a live arm and had a brilliant debut last year. is he injured or just waiting for short season leagues to begin? i would appreciate any information you guys have.

He's been in extended spring training
For some work on his mechanics and some polishing.  He might have had a minor injury, but nothing serious.  It is probable that he will be in short-season Staten Island (which means I'll be able to see him this summer), but he could also be assigned to Charleston.  It depends how much the Yankees want to push him.

They broadcast a couple SI games on YES. I guess I can see him pitch a little bit. That'll be a nice treat.

Injury
My memory seems to be telling me that he did have a minor injury - a sore arm, perhaps? That's not the reason he's not pitching, however. He will start in the short season league at Staten Island.

i was going to say i didn't remember anything like that - because i didn't - but i googled it and look here:
Pitching prospect Dellin Betances threw an inning Tuesday in extended spring training after missing a few weeks with shoulder soreness.
