Kershaw

Does anyone know what happened to Clayton Kershaw his last start?

He had a horrid start (7 runs in an inning and a third) and I was not sure if he was hurt or if something else had happen.  He got pulled after pitching a little over an inning but has otherwise been great this year.  Is this any reason for concern?

last start
i dont know if there is any reason to be concerned but he started the second inning with 4 straight walks and went downhill from there. he was relatively fine in the first inning with no walks and 2ks.

Not concerned
I own him and I am not really concerned. I think all young players tend to have their ups and downs. It's how they bounce back in their next start that matters.

Baseball America
Hey Nathan,

Matt Eddy forwarded me your email. I've been covering Low-A for Baseball America.

I haven't heard or read anything about Kershaw being hurt, so my guess is his last start was just a typical growing pains outing -- the kind you expect teenagers in full-season leagues to suffer on occasion. He may still be plagued by the hamstring injury that forced him to miss a start at the beginning of May, but it looks like he pitched well on May 8th.

I believe he's scheduled to start again on Saturday. He'll probably rebound.
