Chad Billingsley

With his emergence the last couple weeks in the pen (9.2 innings no runs 15/5 k/bb) I was wondering what you thought of him moving to the rotation. Little said that after his horrible outing a couple days ago, Brett Tomko will continue to start. I'm not sure I agree, but Chad's success so far can only help his confidence. What do you all think?

Has Billz looked better in the pen with his stuff than he did at the end of last year?

He seems
to have better command of his pitches recently and has been putting up zero's for the past couple weeks. I want to say put him in the rotation as well, but it may be good for him to stay in the pen for a bit longer to keep building up his confidence.

Billingsley
from what I've seen Billingsley is just throwing more strikes.  the most frustrating thing about him prior was that he'd generally throw good, hard pitches but 50-60% would be out of the zone.  right now he's throwing early strikes and taking care of hitters earlier.

my guess is that Tomko is allowed one more Bombko outing, like Monday, and Billingsley will be in the rotation.  Billingsley's role in the pen will probably be taken by Kuo, who was just called up last night and was dinked to death in 1/3 of an inning.
