The Diamondbacks plan on promoting Justin Upton from Class A Visalia to Double-A Mobile on Sunday.
Upton was hitting .352 with five home runs, a .442 on-base percentage and a .557 slugging percentage. "Things were coming together quickly for him," farm director A.J. Hinch said. "He's performing at a high level, and it's time for a new challenge."
