Just a request for updated perspectives from those that follow the Twins. At some point, hopefully soon, Sir Sidney will exit the picture. Ortiz and Silva continue to defy expectations, and i wouldn't heavy odds they don't implode at some point.
Who is the next Twin hurler in waiting?
Perkins is already in the majors, and is being used in medium-long relief - 2IP here, 3 there, etc. Is this enough to keep him "stretched out" to step into the rotation?
OTOH, Slowey and Baker are both starting at AAA and look good. Slowey's numbers are terrific, but that BABIP (.198) is probably not sustainable. Baker looks good (same as always in AAA). Will one of them get the nod over Perkins? If so, which?
