Mark Pawelek Story

It seems that not everyone caught onto the April Fools joke.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/si_blogs/baseball/fungoes_blog/

Near the bottom of todays blog on there:
"John Sickels reports that the Cubs' 2005 first round pick, Mark Pawelek, has been awesome in minor-league camp in Arizona after a disappointing 2006. He's been clocked at 99 mph and showing a "Koufax-like" break on his curve. "

let me get this straight....
the only difference between you two is that he has a major site and you don't, and that makes him a dope?

awwwww.....
don't lash out. just making an observation. i suppose i should have realized being paid to blog made you more intensely aware of the calendar.

Nooooooo
Being paid to blog you might do a little fact checking before reporting, but thanks for playing along.

by goalieguy on Apr 4, 2007 9:44 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

and which "facts" should he be checking?
I don't think this guy has access to the Cubs front office/scouts, and he did attribute the story to Sickels. from there, it was just a matter of him falling for an April Fools Day joke/not noticing the date, just like the rest of us.

fortunately for the rest of us, he had a blog and made his mistake public. which is funny. so let's get back to that. i'm sorry for making fun of you for making fun of him.
