Where is Joba?

I have been wanting to track Chamberlin's stats this year, but he is not active on the Tampa Yankees roster. Does anyone have any info on why not? Are they planning to start him in Tampa, or perhaps a different league?

He is an intriguing prospect with a great arm. I am wondering if he will be a right handed Sid Fernandez, or Rick Reushel, or if he will become an injury plagued pitcher.

Thanks for any input.

He's on the DL
with a pulled Hamstring.

im really suprised they didnt start him in Low A this year considering the dominance he put forth in the GCL.

Remember, Betances unlike Kershaw
is very raw, so they don't want to rush him as much and rightfully so.

eh
i guess but when you handle your first taste of professional ball the way Betances did, I would think he impressed the yankees enough to start him off in low A.

Maybe
They're working with him in extended on his mechanics or something, and he'll be sent to low-A in May?

I hope so
I think it would be a waste for him to go back to the GCL after he absolutely dominated last season.  It's possible he'll end up in short-season Staten Island instead of Charleston if they want to keep his innings down.
