Anyone catch his start against the Blue Jays?
The swings against his fastball, even at 89, were some of the worst swings I've ever seen major league hitters consistently take against a pitcher. It seemed like no one had any idea what he was going to throw.
Obviously, some or alot of this this has to do with the league never seeing him before, but the performance so far is very nice to see. He's put up nice numbers obviously (25 K's:5 BB's in 20 IP with 1 HR allowed), but it's the swings he gets that stuns you. Guys seem to always be late on his fastball. It's scary how nothing seems to come off the bat hard against him.
This guy looks legit...even if it is only 3 starts in.
