Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Colt Griffin

The KC Star ran a great article about Colt Griffin today that I thought I would pass along. It's a decent read into his early prospect status and some of his experiences in the minors. If nothing else, this is an interesting glimpse into his rise and fall. Enjoy the article.

You may be asked to register to read the article, but KC Star online is free so it's certainly worth it.

Interesting
Yet another cautionary tale about drafting high-school pitchers in the first round.
Good to see that Griffin has gotten on with his life after baseball.
like unto a thing of iron.

well
there are cautionary tales to drafting pretty much any kind of pitcher in the first round ;)
High-School pitchers are historically higher risk, but over the last few years there have been at least as many college busts.
